WeSpline Inc. (“we” or “us”) is community-built database of companies and individuals who can find each other and interact in a social network framework.
We collect information and data provided by you and from your use of our Services.
To sign up for our Services, you are required to provide personal information, such as your name, email address, and professional position; and company information, such as company name, country, city, address, and industry. The information provided helps you get more from our Services.
You may choose to add more information to your profile, such as photos and videos, tags, among others. This information helps you get more from our Services, including better artificial intelligence recommendations and better intelligence search results, which make it easier for other companies and users to find you. Please, do not add information that you do not want to be publicly available.
If you register to our paid plan (“Premium Service”), we ask for your payment and billing information, such as credit card number and billing address.
We also collect personal data when you post content or information, upload photos or videos, post special programs, challenges, job ads, webcasts, courses, conferences, meetups, and advertisement.
We collect data and information about the Services that you use and how you use them.
When you use our Services, we may collect device and location information, such as hardware model, operational system, web browser, IP address, mobile network, and location. You may prevent location from being sent to us through your device settings. We also receive the URL of the site when you visit or leave our Services.
When you use our Services, we collect usage data, such as page views, content views, ads clicked, search performed, posts shared, and applications for special programs, challenges, jobs, webcasts, courses, conferences, and meetups. We also collect data and information when you select a company as favorite, when you send or receive a message, and when you follow or unfollow a company or user. We store that information in server logs, which include cookies, internet protocol, and device event information.
We use your information to provide, improve, protect, and maintain our Services. We also use this information to offer you more personalized Services, such as showing more relevant recommendations, search results, and advertisement.
How we use your data depends on how you use our Services and the choices you make in your settings.
Your company and personal profiles are fully visible to all Members.
Our Services allow viewing and sharing information, including through posts and comments.
You can use our Services to find other companies for business opportunities and connect with other users. It is your choice whether you select a company as favorite or send an invitation to connect to another user. It is your choice to accept or not someone else’s invitation to connect. All your favorite companies are held confidential and it is your choice to share your favorites with team members.
Our Services help you and others find relevant business opportunities and new connections. We use information provided by you to generate company recommendations to you, and to recommend you to other companies or users. We may use automated systems to profile and provide recommendations to help make our Services more relevant to our Members. Keeping your profile accurate and up to date may help you better connect to others and to opportunities through our Services.
We collect information about you when you send and receive messages in our platform.
We target (and measure the performance of) ads to users of our Services using the following data, whether separately or combined:
We will show you ads called “sponsored” which look like non-sponsored content, except that they are labeled “ads” or “sponsored.” If you take an action on these ads, your action will be associated with your name and viewable by the advertiser.
We adhere to self-regulatory principles for interest-based advertising and participate in industry opt-outs from such ads. This does not opt you out of receiving advertising; you will continue to get other ads by advertisers not listed with these self-regulatory tools.
We do not share your personal data with any third-party advertisers or ad networks for their advertising except for: (i) hashed or device identifiers (to the extent they are personal data in some countries); (ii) with your separate permission (e.g., lead generation form) or (iii) data already visible to any users of the Services (e.g. profile).
We sell Premium Services that allow our subscribers to send messages to companies and users who are not their connections, get recommendations of companies for business purposes, access business analytics, among other features.
We may notify you through email, mobile phone, alerts in our website or app, messages to your WeSpline inbox, and other ways through our Services, including text messages and push notifications. We may send you messages about the availability of our Services, security, or other service-related issues. We may also send messages about how to use our Services, network updates, reminders, recommendations, and promotional messages. You may change your communication preferences at any time. Please be aware that you cannot opt-out of receiving service messages from us, including security and legal notices.
We use your data to produce and share aggregated insights that do not identify you. For example, we may use your data to generate statistics about our Members, their professions or industries, to calculate ad impressions served or clicked on, or to publish demographics for a Service.

Our Services let you share information with others. You have the ability to control how we share your personal information with others.
If you contact us with a question or problem, we may use your personal information to respond you.

We will never share your private personal information with third parties unless we are required to do so by law.
If you decide to close your account, we will remove your information from being visible to others within 24 hours. We generally delete your account information within 30 days after you close your account, but we will retain some personal and company information to, if necessary, comply with legal obligations, prevent fraud and abuse, enforce User Agreement, or resolve disputes. We will never share your private personal information with third parties unless we are required to do so by law.
You have the right to access and/or take your data. You can ask us for a copy of your personal data in machine readable form.
You can edit all your personal data through your profile account. You can also ask us to change, update, or fix your data in certain cases, particularly if it is inaccurate.
You can ask us to stop using all or some of your personal data (e.g.: if we have no legal right to keep using it) or to limit our use of it (e.g.: if your personal data is inaccurate or unlawfully held).
We take security seriously. We implement security safeguards to protect your data, such as HTTPS. However, we cannot warrant the security of any information that you share through WeSpline. There is no guarantee that data may not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed by breach of any of our physical, technical, or managerial safeguards.
We will only collect and process personal data about you if we have lawful bases. Lawful bases include consent (if you have given us consent), contract (where processing is necessary for the performance of a contract with you), and “legitimate interests”.
We are constantly developing and modifying our Services. We may add or remove functionalities. We may modify this Contract at any time.
We will provide you notice to give you opportunity to review these changes. You can stop using our Services and may close your account at any time. If you continue to use our Services after the notification, it means you have agreed to the new Contract.
